Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager for GovDirect.

The APM will help manage information flow, budgets, schedules, and communications to ensure projects are on time and within budget. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in commercial construction, a degree preferred, and proficiency with project software such as ProCore, Microsoft Office, Adobe, BlueBeam and JD Edwards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
• 2–5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally and to manage tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to HITT's safety standards.
• Ensure required documentation is filed.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP package.
• Assist in conducting project meetings, milestones, and owner reporting.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating change orders.
• Update project schedule and oversee quality control and logistics.
• Assist in managing the closeout process.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
