Job summary

Arlington Properties seeks an Assistant Community Manager at The Allure at Edinburgh in Chesapeake, VA. You will support leasing, operations, and supervision, stepping in during the Community Manager’s absence to keep the community running smoothly.

You’ll help drive resident satisfaction, manage processes, and uphold Fair Housing standards while growing toward a leadership role in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in leasing, sales, or property management (1+ years strongly preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and customer service best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Reliable, flexible, and eager to make an impact.
• Licensed to drive and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the Community Manager in leasing, operations, and team supervision.
• Take full responsibility for the community in the manager’s absence.
• Process rent payments, invoices, and resident documentation.
• Assist with resident retention efforts and event planning.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
• Monitor property condition and make improvement recommendations.
• Serve as a role model to peers and help maintain high operational standards.
