Job Description

The RISE program (Responsive Intervention and Student Enrichment) is Fulton Public Schools’ intentional after-school learning program that extends student support beyond the regular school day. Serving targeted elementary and middle school students, RISE provides a safe, structured environment where students participate in small-group academic intervention and enrichment activities. Academic support is led by RISE teachers and aligned to school-day instruction, with an emphasis on reading, math, and science, while enrichment opportunities may include STEM, coding, the arts, career exploration, mentoring, and community partner activities. Through partnerships with community organizations, RISE also connects students and families to tutoring, mentoring, resources, and opportunities that support student success and postsecondary readiness.

Position Type : Stipend ($15,000)

Job Goal :

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and implementation of the RISE program at the assigned site(s). This includes staff supervision, program coordination, student safety, and communication with families. The Site Coordinator ensures that academic, enrichment, and social-emotional programming are delivered effectively. This job reports to the RISE Program Director.

EssentialDuties & Responsibilities

• Manage daily program operations, including scheduling and logistics.
• Supervise program staff, including teachers and support staff.
• Coordinate student grouping and staff assignments.
• Monitor student attendance and participation.
• Coordinate implementation of academic intervention, enrichment programming, and social-emotional learning activities.
• Develop and revise curriculum aligned with state, national, and content-area standards.
• Collecting, reviewing, and organizing lesson plans.
• Provide and model effective behavior management techniques.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning, including developing positive relationships with all children enrolled in the program.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student participation and program information.
• Ensure student safety at all times of program participation.
• Operate the site in accordance with program/grant regulations.
• Support program evaluation efforts, including data collection and reporting.
• Facilitate communication between program staff and school-day personnel.
• Assist with coordinating transportation and dismissal procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the program director.

Qualifications :

• Missouri Teaching Certificate or closely related degree area required; Missouri Administrative Certificate preferred.
• Experience working with school-age children required.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and supervise staff is required.
