Job summary

The Osborne Association in New York, NY seeks a full-time Driver for the Children, Youth and Family Services department to provide safe, reliable transportation for clients, including trips to Rikers Island. The position requires evening and weekend shifts and clearance to work in correctional facilities.

The driver will assist with transportation coordination, administrative documentation, and outreach to increase awareness of driver services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s license with a clean driving history preferred.
• Three years of passenger-van driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe transportation for participants to and from Rikers Island and facilities.
• Transport participants to visit loved ones and program activities, including weekend visits.
• Coordinate Lyft rides when needed and support transportation for releases.
• Maintain vehicle logs, document mileage, and complete ECM entries.
• Attend required trainings and collaborate across teams to ensure service delivery.

Skills

Valid NYS Driver’s license

Good driving history

Ability to lift 70 pounds

GPS/map apps familiarity
