State of Iowa - Executive Branch, via the Right of Way Bureau of the Iowa Department of Transportation, seeks a Right of Way Agent 2 to negotiate and acquire property for public highway projects. You will represent the citizens of Iowa and serve as the face of the DOT while coordinating with owners and tenants.

You will travel across Iowa with a flexible schedule, handling relocation support and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of Right of Way Agent experience or equivalent
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel statewide and maintain a valid driver's license

Aufgaben

• Negotiate non-voluntary (Eminent Domain) real estate transactions for highway projects.
• Coordinate with displaced individuals through Relocation Assistance programs.
• Determine eligibility and level of benefits for displaced persons based on occupancy, family, and finances.
• Document contacts and discussions with clear reports and assemble orderly files for processing.
• Ensure all required paperwork is complete and present in files for claims processing.
• Inspect land and building properties of various topographies.
