Georgia Transmission Corporation is seeking a Forester to coordinate vegetation management and ROW protection in the South Metro Georgia area. You will implement the TVMP, respond to encroachment requests, and work with customers and internal teams to authorize ROW usage and resolve issues.

The role involves inspecting ROWs, addressing unauthorized encroachments, managing contractors, and ensuring safe, compliant vegetation practices across the assigned district.

Qualifikationen

• Education: 2-year degree in forestry; preferred 4-year degree in forestry, real estate, or related field.
• Experience: 0–2 years or 2+ years or 5+ years in utility vegetation management and ROW rights preferred.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate forestry, vegetation management, and right-of-way encroachment activities in assigned geographic area.
• Implement vegetation management per TVMP with emphasis on NERC standards.
• Respond to stakeholder encroachment requests and conduct field site visits.
• Work with external customers and internal organizations to authorize ROW usages and coordinate response to non-permissible encroachments, including removal of vegetation or structural encroachments.
• Inspect ROW (aerial and ground) to verify maintenance standards and identify unauthorized encroachments.
• Investigate abnormal vegetation or encroachment situations and provide resolutions.
• Manage contractors to oversee productivity and quality.
