Job summary

Commercial Steel Erection, Inc. is seeking a rigging and equipment handler to assemble rigging, assist in crane setup, and ensure compliance with OSHA and site rules.

The role requires knowledge of load calculations and safety procedures, with 1–2 years of related experience and a rigging certification or eligibility. The job emphasizes careful inspection of gear and adherence to regulatory standards, with strong emphasis on teamwork and on-site safety in manufacturing, shipyard, or construction

Qualifications

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training; holds a certified Riggers card or has ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or materials and ensure safe placement.
  • Inspects equipment, structures, and materials; assists in crane setup/teardown and signal operations.
  • Monitors and maintains equipment; performs routine maintenance and coordinates with maintenance staff.
  • Maintains communication with supervisor and follows site safety rules and regulations.
