Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power and layout tools, plus measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and rigging large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
• Shakeout of items and rigging for crane hoisting with proper signals.
• Guide rigged items into position using tag lines.
• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specs; correct as needed.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for loads.
• Identify suitable rigging points and select rated rigging based on tension.
• Maintain awareness of LHE dynamics and hazards.
