Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled rigging technician to plan, lay out, and install rigging for lifting machinery, pipe, and steel per plans, specs, and codes. You will work on-site on industrial sites to support heavy equipment installations.

Responsibilities include setting up large equipment, aligning machines, estimating needs, and ensuring safety. NCCER certification and a high school diploma are preferred for this role, with potential overtime and outdoor work conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in rigging heavy equipment and construction safety.
• Ability to read plans and follow safety rules.
• Effective communication with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and rigging large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines and structures.
• Shakeout and rigging for crane hoisting with crane signals.
• Guide rigged items into position using tag lines.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and material needs for activities.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and take corrective actions.
• Identify rigging points and select appropriate rigging.
• Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and hazards.
