Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking a Rigging Technician to plan, lay-out, and install rigging for lifting equipment in accordance with plans, codes, and standards. The role requires climbing, working at heights, and outdoor work in all weather, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include setting up and guiding rigged items with tag lines, aligning machines, and using oxyacetylene and welding tools for adjustments during installation. Safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge and abilities for the position.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and rigging large-scale heavy equipment.
  • Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and/or structures.
  • Shakeout of items to be installed into erectable sequence and rigging of same for crane hoisting with knowledge of crane signals.
  • Guide rigged items into position using a tag line.
  • Use of oxyacetylene and welding equipment for adjustments during installation.
