Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX is seeking a Rigging Technician to set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment, aligning and positioning machines and structures according to plans and safety standards.

You will inspect work for compliance, select rigging points, develop basic procedures, and communicate clearly with supervision. Must be able to climb, work at heights, and endure outdoor conditions, with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit instructions and communicate with management.

Responsibilities

• Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures.
• Rig items for crane hoisting with proper signals.
• Guide rigged loads using tag lines.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, time, costs, and materials.
