Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled rigger to plan, lay out, and install rigging components for lifting and installing heavy equipment, pipe, and steel in accordance with plans, codes, and standards.

You will set up and rig large equipment, align machines, perform crane hoisting with signals, and ensure safe operation, including working at heights, outdoors in all weather, and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of tools and layout instruments.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and rigging large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
• Shakeout and rigging for crane hoisting with proper signaling.
• Guide rigged items into position using tag lines.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, costs, and resources needed.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures.
• Identify suitable rigging points and select rated rigging based on tension.
• Maintain understanding of rigging dynamics and hazards.
