TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi is seeking an experienced rigging technician to plan, lay out, and install rigging components for lifting and installing heavy equipment. You will interpret plans, work with crane signals, and ensure safety on site.

The role requires physical endurance, ability to move materials around a construction/industrial site, and the use of hand and power tools to support rigging operations. A valid U.S. driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus field experience.
  • Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Responsibilities

  • Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
  • Position, align, or level machines and structures.
  • Rig crane hoisting including signals.
  • Guide rigged items into position with tag lines.
  • Estimate sizes, quantities, time, and materials for activities.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans and specs, point out deficiencies and take corrective action.
  • Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for general load handling activities.
  • Identify suitable rigging points for the load and select rated rigging based on tension.
  • Maintain understanding of LHE dynamics and associated hazards
