Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled professional to plan, lay-out, and install rigging components for lifting and installing heavy equipment and structures on construction sites in Mississippi.

The role requires setting up rigging, aligning machines, reading plans, and following strict safety standards. Will work with various hand and power tools and must be able to work irregular hours and on-site conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate with supervision.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

Responsibilities

• Set up and rig large-scale heavy equipment.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, and structures.
• Rigging with crane signals; guide items into position using tag lines.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed for work.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans; point out deficiencies and take corrective action.
• Select rigging components and develop basic rigging procedures for general load handling activities.
• Identify suitable rigging points for the load and select rated rigging based on tension.
• Maintain working understanding of LHE dynamics and related hazards
