Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Rigging Helpers in St. Fayetteville, GA. Must be willing to travel. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

Essential duties include selecting and rigging loads, attaching pulleys to overhead structures, and coordinating crane operations with safety in mind. Travel may be significant, and adherence to safety processes is required.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Observe SIC safety and general job training requirements.
• Must follow safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load.
• Attach pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Give directions to Crane Operator to ensure safety of workers and material handled.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment and materials according to signals.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions.
