Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Rigging Helpers in St. Fayetteville, GA. Candidates must be willing to travel. Those hired will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months.

Position involves selecting rigging hardware, attaching blocks and loads, and coordinating with Crane Operators to move materials safely. Adherence to SIC safety and quality standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to load weight/size.
• Attach pulley and blocks to overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach load with grappling devices to crane hook.
• Direct Crane Operator using hand signals or communications to ensure safety.
• Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Coordinate movement of equipment per signals.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Regular attendance is required; significant travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as required.
