Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Rigging Helpers in St. Francisville, LA. The role involves assisting with rigging, hoisting setup, and coordinating with Crane Operators to move loads safely.

Travel may be required. After a 3‑month probation, benefits and paid time off may be offered in addition to a competitive salary. A strong focus on safety and quality is emphasized throughout the work.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsabilités

• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves based on load weight and size.
• Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts and clamps.
• Attach loads with grappling devices to crane hooks.
• Provide directions to Crane Operator to ensure safe hoisting of loads.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackles.
• Coordinate movement of equipment according to visual signals and directions.
• Record information using standardized measures and procedures.
• Identify and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Maintain regular attendance; travel may be required.
