We are currently looking for Supervisors in our Rigging Shop to join our teams working aboard ship vessels and on the pier.

Candidates selected for this position are expected to work the required hours to fulfill the responsibilities of this role (more than 40 hours including weekends). This position is eligible for Extended Work Time Compensation (EWTC) for hours worked in excess of 45 weekly.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily work in your assigned shop.
  • Assign and monitor work completion, provide technical assistance, and manage the workforce within the Shop.
  • Develop and review project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
  • Allocate personnel and resources efficiently to support all contracts, including shift work.
  • Monitor schedule performance, review ongoing and upcoming projects, investigate delays, supervise projects, and develop practical solutions.
  • Review project budgets, identify productivity enhancements, and investigate over-budget items.
  • Perform personnel functions such as supervising employees, managing performance, workforce reductions, promotions, demotions, and discipline.
  • Ensure employees understand and adhere to company policies.
  • Train and motivate employees in technical knowledge, safety, environmental practices, and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with labor agreement requirements.
  • Work various shifts (1st shift 7:15 am to 4:00 pm, 2nd shift 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, 3rd shift 11:45 pm to 7:45 am).
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the trade.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in the relevant trade.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and similar software.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to wear protective gear.
  • Ability to perform essential job duties physically, with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice Graduate preferred.
Pay Range

Full-Time Salary Range: $65,600 - $111,500

Note: Salaries are determined by various factors including skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
