Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Rigger in Somerset, KY, to set up, assemble, and disassemble rigging for relocation and/or transport. The role requires selecting gear by load and area, communicating with crew, and ensuring safe handling of machinery and tools.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or manuals as needed.
• Familiar with safety protocols and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials for safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Attach loads to rigging and prepare for moving with hand/power tools.
• Select appropriate gear (cables, pulleys, winches) per load and job specs.
• Signal or communicate with workers during hoisting and moving for safety.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment as needed.
• Dismantle, inspect, and store rigging equipment after use.
