Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of rigging and hand/target signals.
• Understand and apply established rigging methods and safety practices.
• Able to direct crane operations and ensure loads are balanced and secure.
• Able to work with riggers and assist Journeymen in installation/removal of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with riggers in dry docking and launching operations.
• Direct crane operations using standard signals.
• Determine gear placement to ensure loads are secure and balanced.
• Perform spot checks to ensure rigging methods and safety practices are followed.
• Use protective equipment and clothing as required.
