Job summary

Central Gulf Industrial Alliance seeks an experienced welder capable of multi-process welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and reading detailed blueprints to fabricate and assemble piping systems, tanks, and structures. The role requires precise fit-ups, adherence to procedures, and safe operation of welding equipment.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, performing welding in various positions, and ensuring weld quality while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret metallurgy specifications.
• Proficiency with multiple welding processes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe sizes and equipment according to specs.
• Plans layouts and welding to apply proper techniques and geometry.
• Wields various welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) as directed.
• Lays out, aligns, and fits components, then welds per procedure.
• Operates welding machines and adjusts amperage, voltage, and pulse as specified.
• Performs welding quality checks and records results.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and uses PPE.
