Job summary

Axis Energy Services, LLC. is seeking a Derrick Hand to join a 4-5 person workover rig crew in Odessa, TX. The role involves elevated work on the derrick, tubing board, and rod basket, plus routine maintenance on rig components.

You will operate safely under Axis policies, participate in a 14/7 rotation, and travel as required. A valid driver's license and clean MVR are required; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; CDL class A or B preferred.
• Minimum 1 year derrick hand experience; 2 years workover rig floor experience.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written.
• Willing to work a 14/7 rotation and travel as needed.
• Willing to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and safety evaluations.
• Able to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in rigging up/down and lining up the rig.
• Perform elevated work on the derrick and tubing board operations.
• Maintain derrick structures and components.
• Support other rig operations as directed by supervisor.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
• May drive the crew truck and hold a valid license.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
