Job summary

Sesame Place in Philadelphia seeks enthusiastic Ambassadors to help guests enjoy a fun, safe, and memorable experience. You will operate rides, perform safety checks, assist with loading, and ensure guests meet rider requirements.

This role rewards strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be 16+, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and willing to work indoors/outdoors, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position requires extensive walking and standing during shift.
• Must follow SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Must work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Must provide flexible, consistent availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate rides ensuring safety regulations are met.

• Monitor and operate rides, ensuring all safety regulations are being met
• Complete opening safety checklists and test rides prior to opening rides to guests
• Assist in loading and unloading guests from ride
• Ensure all guests meet the rider requirements
• Maintain a safe, clean environment, including operator booths, ride areas, and surrounding guest areas
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests

What else is important:

• At least 16 years of age
• Must be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safety
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold temperatures
• Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
• Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
