Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA is seeking a Ride Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rehabilitate a variety of amusement rides and attractions. You will maintain gearboxes, chains, sprockets, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, wire rope, hoists, brakes, pumps, and large bearings, with a strong emphasis on safe operation at height.

This full-time role requires 2–4 years of verified mechanical maintenance experience (amusement setting preferred), the ability to read blueprints,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old.
• 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience in amusement or industrial setting preferred.
• Knowledge of gearboxes and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of rides and equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Repair or replace major components such as gears, valves, hoses, and brakes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and inspections.
• Read manuals and blueprints to service components.
• Work safely at heights and coordinate with teams.
