Job summary

Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking an Industrial Controls Electrician to join the Ride Maintenance Department. You will repair and maintain amusement rides to ensure safe park operations, working full-time on an hourly basis under a collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities include inspecting rides, diagnosing PLCs and electrical components, and logging all maintenance activities. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• State Journeyman’s license preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rides and attractions for hazards and notify management.
• Perform ride inspection and maintenance per Six Flags and industry standards.
• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot theme park rides and attractions.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as AC/DC drives, PLCs, transformers and motors.
• Repair faulty electrical components and wiring, sensors and circuit boards.
• Monitor equipment operation and identify needed adjustments or replacements.
• Replace worn parts using hand or power tools and test with meters and instruments.
• Read drawings and manuals; keep accurate maintenance logs and preventive records.
• Respond to work orders and conduct electrical repairs to keep park operations safe.
