Job Summary

Join our team as an Industrial Controls Electrician for the Ride Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for the safe repair and maintenance of amusement rides. The role is full‑time, hourly, non‑exempt and covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Status

Full Time Hourly, Non‑Exempt.

Pay Range

$30.24–$40.32 per hour (dependent on experience). Work beyond 40 hours a week is paid at 1.5× the standard rate.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect rides and attractions, notifying management of all hazards that may endanger guests or employees.
  • Perform ride inspection and maintenance programs in accordance with Six Flags, ride manufacturers, ASTM, and State of Georgia standards.
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as AC/DC drives, PLC systems, transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, etc.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components such as relays, wiring, motors, sensors, switches, circuit boards, etc.
  • Observe operation of installed equipment to detect hazards, malfunctions, or needs for adjustment or replacement.
  • Remove or replace worn or defective parts using hand or power tools.
  • Test equipment with instruments such as multimeters, meggers, etc.
  • Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and schematics as provided.
  • Maintain a daily duty log of maintenance work and accurate records of preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to work orders and conduct electrical repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.
  • Adhere to park policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting PLC systems.
  • Strong experience in installation and repair of electrical equipment.
  • State Journeyman’s license preferred but not required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional interaction with other shops and departments.
  • Clear, calm, and safe troubleshooting in the presence of guests, co‑workers, and park management.
  • Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Capable of meeting physical demands: lifting up to 100 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV report.
  • Employees must supply their own hand tools.
Other Functions

All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole. Management reserves the right to add or remove duties as circumstances dictate.
