Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Reston, Virginia office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position and sits in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities include delivering a variety of transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects, while mentoring staff, pursuing business development, and building strong client relationships in collaboration with jurisdictions and contractors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering/design.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Experience with Synchro, HCS, or Vissim desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks for transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects.
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to growth of the transportation practice.
• Manage projects profitably, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality client service.
