Job summary

Idaho Power in Mountain Home, Idaho, seeks a Generation Specialist to join our RICE maintenance and operation team. You will perform daily operating and maintenance tasks to ensure safe, reliable generators and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in generation systems.
• Experience in power plant operations or maintenance preferred.
• Welding/fabrication and large diesel engine knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain reciprocating engine plants to ensure safe, reliable performance.
• Perform large engine overhaul maintenance and upkeep of ancillary equipment.
• Lead tasks when required and support a team-based environment.
• Ensure generation availability to meet system loads and respond to emergencies.
