Job summary

Nebraska Public Power District seeks a seasoned on-site leader to oversee the operation and maintenance of a new RICE/CT generating facility south of Lincoln, Nebraska. The role reports to the Sheldon/BPS Station manager and requires strong supervisory and budgeting capabilities to ensure safe, reliable, and regulatory-compliant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a power plant facility is required.
• Knowledge of power plant operations, maintenance, budgeting, and personnel management.
• Experience with RICE/CT facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with facility design, contract review, and contractor management.
• Assembles a core supervisory team and manages overall operation and maintenance of the station.
• Develops station budget with finance group and site management.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Leads by example and develops personnel through coaching and succession planning.
