Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team.

The role involves greeting patients, taking vitals, assisting physicians, and handling front and back-office duties with attention to detail. The successful candidate will support physicians and APCs, manage patient forms and insurance documentation, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and maintain a clean, private, and organized reception area, while prioritizing patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited facility is required.
• Good oral and written communication skills, be flexible, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients
• Register patients according to established protocols
• Assist patients to complete necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
• Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
• Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
• Schedule patient appointments
• Collect co-pays and payments
• Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
• Respond and comply to requests for information
• Complete other clerical duties as assigned
• Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
• Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration
• Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation
• Draw labs if needed
• Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient
• Assist with removal/discontinuation of iv
• Maintain sterile environment at all times
• Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock
