Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is partnering with a regional network to recruit a board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist for an on-site, full-time role in Rutland, Vermont. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and robust administrative support.

The successful candidate will manage complex rheumatic diseases, perform procedures, and contribute to clinical protocol development while partnering with PCPs and specialists.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship.
• Active Vermont medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Board certification or active board eligibility in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology; active DEA registration.
• Outpatient specialty practice experience and EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat complex rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Take detailed histories, perform exams, assess disease activity and treatment response.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and bone health assessments.
• Develop patient-centered treatment plans including DMARDs and biologics.
• Perform office-based procedures such as joint injections and aspirations.
• Educate patients and families; maintain EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with primary care, specialists, nursing, and rehab staff; participate in committees and reviews.
