Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a board-certified or eligible rheumatologist to join an outpatient specialty clinic in Rutland, Vermont. This full-time, on-site role offers comprehensive administrative support and a multidisciplinary team.

The physician will diagnose and manage complex rheumatic diseases, order tests, perform procedures, and collaborate with primary care and rehab staff. A competitive salary with a signing bonus, relocation assistance, loan support, and CME funding are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Training: Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Internal Medicine residency and an accredited Rheumatology fellowship.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in Vermont (or eligible before start).
• Certifications: Board certification or active board eligibility in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology; active DEA.
• Preferred Experience: Outpatient specialty practice experience; musculoskeletal ultrasound and osteoporosis management are valued.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatic, autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Take comprehensive histories, perform exams, assess disease activity and long-term outcomes.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and bone health tests to guide decisions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including DMARDs, biologics, corticosteroids, and immunomodulators.
• Perform routine rheumatology procedures like joint injections and aspirations.
• Educate patients and families on chronic conditions and self-management.
