Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Rheumatologist to join an established clinical team in Rutland, Vermont. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes patient-centered care with strong administrative support and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will manage complex rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, perform office procedures, and participate in care coordination with primary and specialty providers; a supportive environment is provided in a scenic community

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Rheumatology fellowship.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Vermont or eligibility before start date.
• Board certification or active board eligibility in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology; must maintain DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with rheumatic, autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders following evidence-based care.
• Take comprehensive histories, perform exams, and assess disease activity and treatment response.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other data to guide decisions.
• Develop patient-centered treatment plans including DMARDs, biologics, and other therapies; coordinate referrals.
