Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Proposal Specialist to ensure accurate information in relation to products, services, and pricing, coordinating with proposal, legal, marketing and sales teams to craft high-quality, accurate responses for RFPs.

You will manage material gathering, pricing, and final submissions, while working with Subject-matter experts to resolve uncertainties and improve response efficiency for future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Education, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Communication, Engineering, Sales, Grant Writing, Education or Business desired.
• APMP Certification preferred and ability to translate RFP materials.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Pro and Qvidian or similar software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand each RFP; partner with Lead and Writer to kickoff responses.
• Participate in sales meetings to assess product/service needs for responses.
• Oversee material gathering and response submissions, including pricing.
• Take responsibility for final submission of proposals to customers and assist with larger RFPs.
• Review responses with colleagues to ensure high quality submissions.
• Identify process improvements to streamline data gathering and feedback.
• Answer requests for questionnaires and information depending on size and availability.
• Demonstrate knowledge of product functionality and value proposition.
