Job summary

Point2 Technology in California is seeking RFIC Design Engineers to develop high-frequency silicon for cutting-edge AI data centers. You will design mmWave and sub-THz RFIC blocks, including TX/RX chains and RF front ends, using advanced SiGe and CMOS processes.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, focusing on productization and real-world implementation. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or an M.S. with significant industry experience are preferred. The position emphasizes strong IC fundamentals and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or M.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience designing RFIC blocks at mmWave or sub-THz frequencies.
• Experience designing, testing or working with RF systems at frequencies of 20 GHz or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design RFIC blocks including sub-THz RX/TX amplifiers and other high-frequency circuits.
• Perform schematic and layout design in advanced SiGe and CMOS technologies.
• Model and analyze high-frequency effects including EM behavior and transmission-line interactions.

Skills

RFIC block design at mmWave or sub-THz frequencies

Experience in TX/RX chains, mixers, LO multiplication, clock distribution, RF front end

Understanding of high-frequency IC fundamentals

Proficiency with Cadence, EMX, and Calibre

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years experience or M.S. with 5+ years experience
