• Partner with cross-functional teams to define RF architectures and tapeouts; support silicon evaluation.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentoring.

Job description

I'm currently working with a very exciting RF Semiconductor company who are looking for a Principal RFIC Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who have just secured huge funding and built a groundbreaking new set of chips for next-gen wireless communication and sensing applications.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design and optimization of high-frequency RFIC building blocks—including power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, variable-gain amplifiers, and beam-steering networks
• Drive the complete custom IC development flow, from transistor-level circuit implementation and simulation through physical layout oversight, electromagnetic verification, and post-layout validation to ensure first-pass silicon success and robust manufacturability
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define RF architectures, integrate multi-channel beamforming solutions, prepare production-ready tapeouts, and support silicon evaluation through laboratory testing, performance analysis, and design refinement
• Provide technical leadership by conducting design reviews, producing high-quality engineering documentation, mentoring junior RFIC engineers, and championing best practices that enhance innovation, design quality, and team capabilities
