Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking a Regional Fulfillment Center leader to hire, engage, and develop a high-performing workforce and ensure operational goals are met in line with company values.

The role reports to the RFC Operations Manager and focuses on achieving daily and weekly targets while driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement across Receiving and Shipping operations.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent, or 2-3 years related experience.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety, food safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the receiving department and lead the team in the absence of the Operations Manager.
• Lead the receiving team to meet or exceed daily and weekly goals.
• Foster a top-tier safety culture through demonstrative leadership and accountability.
• Hold self and team accountable to GMPs and food safety practices.
• Use system tools and Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create labor plans, and monitor the operation's health.
• Manage budgets for labor and other expenditures while balancing Shipping and Receiving.
• Engage in mentorship and provide 1:1 and skip-level meetings with team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Transportation, Inventory Control, Corporate, Purchasing) on operational deliverables.
• Identify goals that positively impact key metrics and drive for results.
• Inspire operational excellence and advocate for change and continuous improvement.

About the Team:

Our Supply Chain and Logistics team's mission is to provide top notch service to our stores and purchasing teams- contributing to the goal to make Grocery Outlet the first choice for bargain-minded customers while touching lives for the better. Our team oversees the successful movement of products from our vendors to our stores and is self-motivated, passionate, and dedicated.

About the Role:

This role will lead a team in the Regional Fulfillment Center to ensure the operational activities are met or exceeded. Their focus will be to hire, engage and develop a highly effective salaried and hourly workforce that will consistently achieve the company goals in a manner consistent with our company values. This role reports to the RFC Operations Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as the main point of contact for the receiving department. Holds responsibility for the entire team upon absence of the Operations Manager.
• Leads the receiving team to ensure each shift meets or exceeds the operation's daily and weekly goals.
• Fosters a top tier safety culture through demonstrative leadership and accountability.
• Holds self and team accountable on GMPs, general sanitation and clear food safety practices.
• Use system tools and Microsoft product such as Excel to analyze data, create labor plans, and monitor the health of the operation.
• Holds self, supervisors, and personnel accountable to budget plans for labor and other expenditures.
• Ensures the daily operation is balanced between Shipping and Receiving.
• Leads employee engagement and performance feedback. Ensures all receiving team leaders consistently engage in the same manner.
• Effectively leads the receiving team in modeling conflict resolution, problem solving, and self-development skills.
• Participates in mentorship programs and Individual Development Plans. Routinely holding 1:1 and skip level meetings.
• Serves as primary collaborator for the receiving with cross functional departments (Transportation, Inventory Control, Corporate, Purchasing Team, and other supporting areas) on operational deliverables.
• Identify achievable goals that positively impact key metrics. Celebrate the milestones, drives for results.
• Inspire operational excellence and growth through innovation and a desire for continuous improvement. Advocate for change and operations evolution.

About The Pay:

• Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
• Annual Bonus Program.
• Equity.
• 401(k) Profit Sharing.
• Employees are eligible to earn up to120 hours of vacation per year. Vacation time is accrued each pay period and is not granted in full at the start of employment.
• Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:

• Good organizational and time management skills.
