Job summary

Astranis is seeking a RF Validation Intern for Summer 2027 in San Francisco. You will contribute to design validation and measurement automation of RF hardware for new satellite designs, working twelve weeks on a challenging internship meant for current four-year university students.

You will measure RF components, write automation scripts in Python, and document test plans and data for review, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced hardware environment at Astranis.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year university in a technical field (EE, CE, physics).
• Hands-on hardware development in fast-paced environments is desirable.
• Deep knowledge of RF concepts (transmission lines, S-parameters, RF blocks).

Responsibilities

• Measure and validate performance of RF components (LNAs, amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, oscillators).
• Write automation code to speed up measurements.
• Document test plans, methodologies, and data for review.
