Job summary

MACOM is seeking a motivated Test Engineer (Entry-Level) to join our RF test automation platform team in Lowell, MA. You will contribute to a Python-based test and measurement platform that automates RF and microwave tests across global labs, integrating with Keysight PNA-X and Rohde & Schwarz ZNA systems.

The role provides hands-on lab experience and software development opportunities, ideal for recent graduates eager to work with a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python are required.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript is necessary.
• Linux experience is required.
• Interest in software development, test systems, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software features within a Python-based test automation framework.
• Design data processing, organization, and visualization methods.
• Build tools for real-time test status monitoring and equipment availability tracking.
• Support lab activities, including system validation and troubleshooting of automated measurements.
• Configure and deploy complex test setups with engineers locally and globally.
• Develop data analysis and plotting routines for engineering insights and reporting.
• Contribute ideas to improve system performance, efficiency, and usability.
