Job summary

MACOM in New Jersey seeks an RF/Optical Test Engineer to develop and support advanced test solutions for RF over fiber products, collaborating with New Product Development and Product Engineering for Aerospace and Defense markets.

You will write automation code, analyze test data, support transitions to manufacturing, and work with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 4+ years of RF/optical test engineering experience and test solution development.
• Familiarity with optical/RF measurements and lab equipment; automation protocols.
• Proficiency with Python for automation and GUI development; Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Test Development: create automated test systems and collect/analyze data.
• Data Analysis: compare test data to specs and track performance.
• Troubleshooting & Yield: assist root-cause analysis for failures and yield issues.
• Lab Operations: use lab instruments and develop test equipment drivers.
