Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services seeks an RF Technologist for the Network Edge Technology team at the Nevada National Security Site. The role requires installing and maintaining RF/microwave systems, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will work with LMR, radio trunking, and surveillance systems, performing maintenance and documentation to support critical national security programs. 4/10 work schedule, on-site at NNSS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent plus 3+ years progressive related experience or HS diploma with 5+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cable color codes.
• Knowledge of low voltage circuit concepts.
• Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting LMR, radio trunking, microwave networks and related electronic systems.
• Experience with wired and wireless communications and public safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect RF, digital, microwave, and signal processing electronics to flow down system requirements to modules and components.
• Operate radios, microwave, intercom, recording, and public address systems.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair RF and electronic equipment using proper test equipment.
• Develop and install architecture to meet requirements and support module development.
• Coordinate with internal personnel, vendors, and agencies for service requests and evaluations.
• Prepare and maintain network configurations and cabling layouts, hardware equipment.
