Job summary

Mission Support and Test Services, LLC seeks an RF Technologist to join the Network Edge Technology team at the Nevada National Security Site. This role applies RF, microwave, and signal processing expertise to flow down system requirements and maintain complex electronic networks.

The position is on-site near Las Vegas with a 4/10 schedule and potential on-call duties. DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain one is required; pre-employment drug testing and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in field related to the position or 5 years progressive related experience.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cable color codes.
• Experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Land Mobile Radio (LMR), radio trunking, microwave networks, surveillance cameras, and supporting electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect RF, digital, microwave, and signal processing electronics to flow down system requirements.
• Operate radios, microwave systems, intercom systems, recording systems, public address systems and other electronics.
• Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair RF and electronic equipment using appropriate test equipment.
• Develop and install architecture to meet requirements and provide technical management.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for service requests and technical advice.
