Job summary

Eastern Communications, Ltd. is seeking a Radio Frequency Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot RF systems supporting public safety, utilities, and transportation. Based at a local service center, you will help ensure compliant, reliable communications infrastructure.

Travel to field sites and training across regions will be required; the role emphasizes documentation, FCC compliance, and teamwork with project staff to keep critical networks operational.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience or associate’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for field operations and training.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and repair RF equipment and systems.
• Diagnose signal, interference, and hardware issues.
• Perform testing, firmware updates, and system calibration.
• Support emergency vehicle upfits and 12VDC installs.
• Travel for field work and training as needed.
• Maintain documentation and service records.
• Ensure FCC and safety compliance.
