Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking engineers, scientists, and mathematicians to advance radar, RF systems, and related national-security technologies. Join multidisciplinary teams working from analysis through prototyping, with a focus on accurate, evidence-based results.

You will contribute to software, models, algorithms, data analysis, and hardware integration across RF, EW, and communications domains, while growing toward technical or project leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as EE, CS, physics or math.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, or MATLAB demonstrated through coursework or projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to understand operational needs and develop practical approaches.
  • Develop software, models, algorithms, analysis tools, experiments, or prototypes.
  • Use real and simulated data to understand system behavior, evaluate performance, and guide development.
  • Communicate your work clearly through code, documentation, technical discussions, presentations and reports.
