Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking engineers and scientists to join our Sensor Systems Group, which develops and tests cutting-edge radar and sensor systems for national security. You will work with a team of researchers to deliver high-impact solutions backed by analytic rigor.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a listed technical field, knowledge of Matlab/Python/C++, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a listed engineering/science field
  • Knowledge of Matlab, Python, and C++
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Eligibility for Interim Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze models of next generation radar and sensor systems
  • Prototype novel signal processing algorithms for military deployment
  • Apply data science and machine learning to large datasets
  • Test radar systems to meet requirements
  • Fabricate test fixtures to support test events
  • Use ML techniques to augment current and future capabilities
