Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking an Engineer in the Space and Air Sensors group to design, develop, and test RF technology and sensor systems across multiple programs. You will contribute to requirements management, design oversight, production support, and IV&V activities while collaborating across teams.

The ideal candidate has a background in RF systems, signal processing, and embedded concepts, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with some supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major by start date.
• Academic or extracurricular experience with radio, comms, or radar systems design, operation, analysis, or simulation.
• Experience communicating and presenting system design details and/or system test results to stakeholders.
• Experience analyzing, developing and implementing solutions to complex technical problems under moderate uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• System Development: understand customer needs and participate in requirements decomposition.
• System Integration & Test: support system integration, test, design verification, fault identification, and acceptance of production hardware.
• Provide engineering support to lab test and qualification activities and oversee test, evaluation, and analysis of system hardware/software/firmware.
• Support for inquiries, field failures, obsolescence, enhancements, new product development, and production transition.
• Evaluate performance of developmental RF systems including signal processing subsystems and radar systems.
• Balance multiple commitments with moderate oversight.
