Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks an RF Subsystems Design Electrical Engineer to contribute to detailed design, simulation, product development and testing for radar, datalink, and RF applications. You will design transmitters, receivers, exciters and antennas, and verify integration in a lab setting.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with coursework in RF systems and experience modeling RF components.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering obtained by start date.
• Electronics, electromagnetics, signal processing, and RF systems coursework.
• Coursework or research experience modeling and measurement of RF components or systems.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, design, development, and integration of transmitters, receivers, exciters, radios, antennas, and radomes.
• Work in a lab to characterize systems and verify integration of RF hardware.
• Develop system-level models of RF devices including radars, sensors, radios, and telemeters.
• Model RF subcomponent non-idealities and predict upper-level system performance impacts.
• Perform generic RF modeling including link budget, system sensitivity, and waveform design.
• Provide engineering support through design reviews and briefings to leadership and customers.
