Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an RF Engineering Intern to contribute to spaceflight RF systems development. You will join a multidisciplinary team to help design, integrate, test, launch, and operate complex RF building blocks for space missions.

You will work on developing computationally efficient DSP algorithms and robust hardware for terrestrial and space-based applications, collaborating with engineers to deliver cost-effective, first-of-their-kind RF

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Passion for space-flight hardware, electronics design, digital signal processing, integration and test.
  • Eligibility for Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Support terrestrial and space-based communications, radio-navigation, radiometric, and remote sensing applications by developing DSP algorithms and robust hardware.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design and deliver RF systems that perform reliably in harsh space environments.
