Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking an intern to join the RF Engineering Team in Laurel, MD. You will contribute to RF systems for spaceflight missions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary group to develop, integrate, test, launch, and operate RF components that enable these systems.

The role targets students pursuing Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 3.0 GPA and potential eligibility for a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale is preferred.
  • Interest in space-flight hardware, electronics design, DSP, integration and test.

Responsibilities

  • Support RF terrestrial and space-based communications, radio-navigation, radiometric and remote sensing applications by developing DSP algorithms and robust hardware.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and deliver RF systems for spaceflight missions that perform reliably in harsh environments.
