Job summary

TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, California seeks a hybrid/remote Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and ongoing maintenance of TrellisWare products.

You will work with the Business Development team to assess potential applications, develop detailed product specifications, and build customized solutions that demonstrate feasibility to clients.

Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree or equivalent military service experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience in the market or technology segments identified.
• Demonstrated track record in fielding and troubleshooting RF systems and networked communications products.
• Knowledge of configuration, operation, and maintenance of tactical communication systems or TrellisWare products.
• Experience in U.S. Special Forces, U.S. Military, and/or commercial specialty communications communities highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales, post-sales, and customer support for all TrellisWare product offerings, both onsite and remotely.
• Develop custom-tailored communications solutions for customers’ specific systems.
• Support sales and business development leads in securing new business, including field troubleshooting of products and integrations and trade-show booth support.
• Evaluate customer requirements and determine technical configurations, generating product quotations in coordination with sales management.
• Craft and deliver technical presentations of TrellisWare offerings to new and existing customers.
• Support field demonstrations, product training, integration with third-party accessories, and applications such as voice, IP data, and video with emphasis on IP networking.
• Draft demonstration and application sample white papers as needed and assess new accessories or applications that extend product effectiveness.
• Perform technical and integration support of sales pursuits, trade shows, customer demonstrations, and field exercises, documenting field accomplishments and anomalies.
• Support related product documentation throughout the product line.
• Develop relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
